God bless our billionaire Igbo brothers! It seems the new trend in 2025 is to try and outshine or outspend each other by hosting lavish parties – weddings, funerals, birthdays, and so on. If it’s not the “Owerri Rick Ross” flaunting his wealth on social media, it’s his former boss throwing 50 parties just to celebrate turning 50. And the list goes on. But here’s my simple question to these “billionaires”…especially those from Anambra State, who proudly claim to have over 1,000 billionaires: Why haven’t you developed your state like Lagos? Or better still, why haven’t you invested in industries and manufacturing businesses in your own state to provide thousands of jobs for your fellow Igbo brothers and sisters? I can count on one hand the number of Igbo billionaires who have industries in the whole of the East! No be to dey shout ‘money na water’ while overfeeding your self on social media…please try and develop your own state. God bless you.
I have one answer for your question, which is infrastructure.. There is no infrastructure in Anambra, the roads are bad, majority of the roads don’t have side walks and insecurity. No night life and no street lights. Ones it clock 7PM the roads are empty.. once it clock 9PM, Anambra becomes a ghost town. Every governor we have elected till this moment have no desire for infrastructure but their pockets and dispatching thugs on the road to extort money from keke and bus drivers.
