Post Malone and his ex-fiancée are currently engaged in a legal dispute regarding the custody of their two-year-old offspring.
The ex-partner of the Sunflower artist disclosed her identity on Wednesday when she submitted a petition for primary physical custody of their child in the Superior Court of Los Angeles.
In the legal documents, Hee Sung ‘Jamie’ Park additionally sought joint legal custody alongside Post and indicated her willingness to grant him visitation privileges.
However, it subsequently came to light that the 29-year-old, whose birth name is Austin Post, had submitted his own custody filings in Utah on Monday, two days prior to Park’s motion in Los Angeles. His petition remains sealed, rendering the specifics of his desired custody arrangement undisclosed.
According to reports from TMZ, due to the fact that the Rockstar artist filed first, the jurisdiction of the case will be established in Utah. This development is perceived as advantageous for Post Malone, as child support obligations in Utah are generally lower than those in California.
Informants disclosed to the publication that Post Malone initiated his legal proceedings in Utah because it was the location where the former couple had originally agreed to a 50/50 custody arrangement regarding their daughter.
Park is reported to have relocated to California at the beginning of the year following the dissolution of their engagement in late 2024.
The name of their daughter has yet to be made public, and she was referenced as “DDP” in Park’s legal filings. She was born on May 26, 2022.
Post Malone announced his engagement and the birth of his daughter during an interview on The Howard Stern Show in June 2022.
Following his separation from Park, the I Had Some Help artist has entered into a relationship with university student Christy Lee.
